When Coupons Attack… A bloggers addiction!!

So over the last week or so Hubby and I have been repainting the inside of our home, Something about doing that makes it feel like a new place which I love. What I don’t love is all of the clean up and reorganization that comes with it, there has literally been stuff everywhere ( I felt like I was on Hoarders). What I decided to do was take this opportunity to super spring clean my house, leave no drawer unturned.. if you were a GI Joe missing your head, arm and leg.. it was your funeral!!

I stormed through the house cleaning and cleaning, I tackled the mountain of laundry ( because yes 5 people can  make a mountain) and finally it was time to clean my own room. Now my room wasn’t bad (we are by no means dirty people) but I wanted to make sure that I gave it the same attention that I did all the other rooms, cleaning out unwanted items and bagging them for vets.  When I got to one drawer in particular ( underwear and socks.. that were not going to vets lol ) that I noticed something that did belong. Remember now my bedroom is my place clip coupons, blog, watch TV, do my nails, pretty much all of the things that require a small amount of privacy and lack of small people running in circles around you. Here is what I found…

Inserts!! Tons and tons of inserts.. all older then 2 months and all of them unclipped, it as if they were mocking me that they were the coupons that survived!!!  I laughed pretty hard at this one and immediately snapped a pic to send to another couponing friend. My husband was just looking at me, shaking his head And not because of all the savings that could have been but just because there were enough there for a small paperback book.  I’m obsessed with clipping coupons, yes one may call it an addiction that I have to get under control, but all the money I save makes it all worth while.

Even writing this I chuckle just a bit at hubbys reaction to what I pulled out of my drawer, but let me tell you.. lesson learned,  Leave no coupon unclipped, And certainly don’t put them in a drawer and forget about them. If you were wondering how they got there.. well thats still a mystery…

Just had to share =)

This tickled me so much. My bedroom is where I do all my clipping and sorting too. Although I go through my papers in the living room in my recliner. Needless to say there are a few inserts laying beside my chair unclipped.
