Have you ever had a pair of shoes that you swear you could wear with just about everything? You know the ones that I’m talking about, they look great, don’t hurt you feet, and go well with just about every outfit you own. Well it wasn’t until I was older that I truly appreciated the more girly things in life ( Nail Polish, Makeup, Shoes) Now I embrace it with a force of gusto so great that it can send my husband running in fear of our bank accounts for miles. What can I say, when it comes to a good fitting , fantastic looking shoe, I’m like a crazed maniac!! And that is just what I’ve found!!
Recently I had the opportunity to work with a fantastic company that has been making beautiful, stylish wooden clogs and clog boots for women since the 1960′s. Uggelbo Clogs was founded in 1965 , its founder Sven Carlsson began making clogs at a young age for a popular factory in Sweden. Years later decided to take his talent for making stylish clogs to the next level and Uggelbo clogs was created. Years later his son continues his fathers legacy as the Head Clog Master in the same factory that the company started in all those years ago, still making high quality hand made clogs that they back with a guarantee.
When I first looked at their website I loved how beautiful the shoes looked, they have a great selection of different style clogs, in a variety of colors. Now I’ve worn clogs before, but not authentic ones and the ones on their site all having wooden bottoms I was afraid of paying the price ( in physical pain) for fantastic look that they would provide.
For this review I was asked to choose a few styles that I may like ( which was no problem at all) and agreed that I wanted to be surprised with what they sent me ( I love surprises). A few short days later I received the mid heel Rio Grande Special Clogs in black and WOW are they beautiful.
The stylish look and soft leather instantly took my attention, but I think it was that I could tell without a doubt that they were hand crafted that made me so excited to try them on. When I put the clogs on they were perfect ( make sure you use their sizing chart) the soft leather quickly molded to my feet making them feel as if I had been wearing them for years, but still I was concerned about the wooden bottoms. Just coming home from Reviewers Retreat I had a bunch of shopping to do for the house so I seized the opportunity to test them out. Over an hour of shopping and my feet didn’t feel horrible, I thought for sure that I was going to be sorry I wore them and possibly even sporting some sexy new blisters… Nope!
I wore them out to my goddaughters birthday party the next day, and still my feet were in no pain , they felt fantastic, and I got a ton of compliments on how fantastic my new shoes looked!!! These shoes are comfy, stylish and totally go great with any outfit. I’ve worn them with Jeans, shorts and Capris each time thrilled with how they looked. I love these shoes..so much so that I may need to buy a pair to wear for when fall comes!!!
