Here is The It Mom’s Review!!

My Personal Review of the Vi-Shape Nutritional Shake Mix:I received my Blender Ball Mixer from Amazon and initially bought Silk Soy Milk to mix with my Sweet Cream Flavor shake mix. It was “okay” at first, but I did not like the acquired after taste of soy. After consulting with ShakeItAway2day, they suggested I try Unsweetened or Sweetened Almond Milk in the different flavors available at the grocery store. After running a few Google searches, I had learned that Almond Breeze Almond Milk received favorable recommendations, so I bought the refrigerated Almond Milk in the Chocolate and Vanilla flavors (sweetened).

It was a transition for me to get used to the shakes, because I had been accustomed to bad habits that caused me to gain 15 extra pounds. Although I wasn’t expecting a miracle shake, I was hopeful that it would get me on the right path to exercising and eating right…and it did!

What did I do?1. I decided to replace my breakfast with the Vi-Shape Shake since breakfast is the most important meal of the day and when I get the hungriest!

2. I counted calories and made sure I consumed 1,200 calories or less each day. My all time favorite app and website is MyFitnessPal. I logged in all the food I consumed (including my Vi-Shape Shake Mix/Almond Milk) and my exercises and it calculated everything for me. Calorie trackers were wake-up calls for me on the amount of food I consumed, and it held me accountable. I was certainly more cautious and planned my meals and exercises better because of this app!

3. I exercised at least 4 times for each week. Whether that’s at home or at the gym doing group fitness classes – I made sure to get in at least 60-minutes of cardio each time. My favorite cardio workouts are Advanced Hip-Hop, Zumba, and Kickboxing. I found out I burned the most calories doing 60-minutes of kickboxing (613 calories) through MyFitnessPal!

4. I stopped snacking and eating after 7:30pm. My biggest issue was my own self-control and the need to eat a snack. And because I LOVE desserts and sweets – I only wanted those types of foods to snack on! My solution: a banana and strawberry smoothie mixed with Vanilla Almond Milk. It satisfied my sweet tooth, and was a whopping 22 calories (I drank 8 oz.). So quick and easy to make, yet so satisfying!

5. FINALLY – I allowed myself a cheat day once each week (Sundays) and wasn’t too hard on myself when I went over my calorie counts and did not exercise enough. You have to give yourself a break once in a while, and not beat yourself up so much when things aren’t going just right! The fact that you’ve made the decision and have actually followed through and begun was the hardest step for me. Just like life, we will get off the right path and sometimes have our ups and downs but keep going! And that was exactly my mentality for the last two weeks. 14-days may not seem long, but I’ve seen a difference in my body, my weight, my mentality, and my metabolism.

Psychologists say it takes 21-days to establish new habits, and so far I’m on day 14! I feel like good habits are forming, and it was all through the initial help of ViSalus. So the results are in the numbers, right?

My Results After 2-Weeks:Starting Weight: 130 lbsCurrent Weight: 125 lbsIncrease in body tone and muscle definitionHigher metabolism, drive, and motivation*The head shot photos below represent Day-One, Day-Seven, and Day-Fourteen of the Vi-Shape Nutritional Shake Mix.*The body shot photos below represent Day-Seven and Day-Fourteen of the Vi-Shape Nutritional Shake Mix.

It may not look like a HUGE difference, but there’s certainly a visual difference in the roundness and definition of my face and the size of my arms (which are the two areas that I gain the most weight).

Hopefully this encourages you to get your own diet and fitness regimen going! I highly recommend ViSalus, because they are a much healthier alternative than diet pills and starvation. There are tons of recipes and before/after photos of others that can be seen on their Facebook page! Give them a shot, and leave us a comment on your weight loss results.

I have found the only way for myself to lose weight, its gonna sound crazy, is to nurse after I have a child lol. I nursed after my second and I am the tiniest I have ever been and she is 14 months now, 5 or 6 months past the point I stopped nursing. That has been the only thing to help me lose weight, I tried curves, and special K nothing worked.

  5. ugh! What haven’t I tried? I tend to get bored and give up. :-(

  8. I did “the master cleanse” and it worked! Well, until i decided to eat food again anyways….(!!) horrible idea.
