It is imperative that we make sure that our children are properly secured in their car seats and that we have the best car seats possible to keep them safe.
As McKenna gets older it has been very important to me to find the best quality car seat for her that is not only one she enjoys being in but will adjust as she grows into the little lady that she is. So when I was given the opportunity to review the Britax 85 I was so excited!! Mckenna was able to choose which fabric she wanted from the 6 different options, she of course decided on Livia which is a bright, beautiful Pink.
Not to long later the car seat arrived at our door and she instantly knew that it was for her and wanted the box opened!!
The Britax Frontier 85 offers true side impact protection, which is a head restraint creating an extra layer of energy-absorbing foam, keeping the head, neck and spine “in true” or aligned, and deep side walls lined with energy-absorbing foam to distribute crash forces, shield from vehicle intrusion, and contain the head, neck and body. You can feel the cushioning in the seat when you first take it out, along with the sturdiness of the build.
This seat also has the highest 5 point harness capacity allowing for you child to grow up to 85lbs!! You can see the different settings
for the seat when you look at the back, it adjusts easily and securely.
Using this car seat as a forward – facing seat is for children 2 years and over, from 26 – 85 lbs and from 30 – 57 inches tall. As a booster seat it is for children starting at least 40 pounds and 42 to 65 inches tall. In booster mode, there is now a 120 pound weight limit, which is fantastic.
Getting the car seat installed is a breeze with the easy to read users manual, filled with tips and handy illustrations ( there is even a pocket in the back to store it).
McKenna keeps telling me how “Comfy” her seat is. She also loves that there are cup holders for her to be able to have her straw cup or juice boxes when we go on trips. I love how safe I feel having her in the Frontier 85.
