More and more these days people are turning to coupons to help them save money for themselves and their families. When I started this blog a little over a year ago that was my intention, to help people save money with coupons. But as I got more into writing and doing reviews I learned that is where my passion was..writing. There is something to sharing stories, recipes, and reviews with people and having them listen and enjoy that made me feel like I had found my calling. And as my blog and pages grew so did the various opportunities that I was able to get and share with my readers. But with as many opportunities as I do get there is always a few that simply see the title of my blog and do not even look further into it and ban me as a blog not worthy of their products.
Which leads me to ask the question… Is Coupon the new F word of the internet? Is my blog destined to have a Scarlet letter on it since I made a hasty decision not knowing any better?
Do we not teach our children that you cannot judge a book by its cover, that if we see someone who may look scary, or dirty that we don’t really know them or their story?
I like to think that I write quality reviews that help people decide on things that they may want to purchase and add a little bit of person insight both into my life and my thoughts. Having companies make me feel cheap and not worthy because coupon in my name is messed up and I say to them one day you will look around and see you made a big mistake.
So the next time you post something, write about it remember that coupon is the new F Bomb of the social media world.
What do you think?

I think people trying to save money by using coupons or shopping great deals come in all demographics. You probably have readers of all socioeconomic statuses and it shouldn’t be assumed that because you have the word ‘coupon’ in your blog name that your readers aren’t a target market for certain products. Fortunately you have plenty of great companies that work with you and I love reading your reviews and learning about new products from your posts! Carry on, girl!
